Hobbywing Program Box for the PLATINUM series ESC's.
This pocket size LED display programmer is for the PLATINUM series of Aircraft / Helicopter ESC's from Hobbywing. Note - It is not suitable for RC Car or boat ESC's.

So what does it do?
It lets your quickly and easily see, and change the programmable settings in your brushless speed controller without having to use the small 'SET' button and manual, making quick changes a breeze. An instruction manual is supplied with the unit.

Connecting up to your ESC
Most ESC's have a built in BEC circuit which can be used to power the Program card directly. i.e. you don't need a separate battery or supply.
On the top of the programmer there are 2 connections. The one nearest the edge is the connection to the ESC. The other is not usually required. Check the orientation of the connector is correct. (The white signal wire goes nearest to the edge and is marked on the programmer)
Start with the battery disconnected and make sure the ESC switch is OFF
Remove the ESC wire from the receiver and plug it into the programmer as stated above.
When you turn on the ESC's power it will power up the programmer after a couple of seconds displaying Item #1 and its current setting. (Note: it takes around 3 seconds to communicate with the esc before powering up).
You can now check through the current settings with the 'ITEM' button and alter the parameter settings using the 'VALUE' button. Press the 'Ok button to save the change of each item. Use the guide on the front panel for Item and parameter reference.
When done, turn off the ESC power, disconnect the models battery. Now re fit the ESC wire back into the receiver. (normally Channel 2)
